The Lilies Fresco
Design based on a fresco, also known as the “Spring Fresco”, excavated from the volcanic ash covering the settlement of Akrotiri- Santorini (16th century BCE). The fresco depicts lilies that seem to be swaying in a gentle breeze as they grow amongst colorful volcanic rocks. The blooms are shown at different stages of their development, capturing the vibrancy and regeneration of springtime.
